A list of pari-mutuel tracks is offered, including a state-by-state race calendar as well as a weekly racing schedule. You can find Pick 4, Pick 6 and Pick 8 information from tracks that offer such bets.

Teller Talk
Learn the lingo used at the betting window.
Win - You win if your horse wins the race.
Place - You win if your horse finishes in first or second place.
Show - You win if your horse finishes in first, second or third place.
Across the Board - When you bet on one horse to win, place and show (minimum total wager of $6).
Daily Double - A wager in which the winning horses in two different designated races are bet on.
Exacta (or Perfecta) - A wager on which horses will place first AND second in the same race (horses must finish in specified order).
Trifecta (or Triple) - A wager on which horses will place first, second AND third in the same race (horses must finish in specified order).
Superfecta - A wager on which horses will place first, second, third AND fourth in the same race (horses must finish in specified order).
Pick 3 - You win if you select the winning horses in three designated races
Pick 6 - You win if you select the winning horses in six designated races
Wagering Options
Instead of making individual wagers, you may want to “box,” “wheel” or “key” (partial wheel) a horse. This does cost more but increases the number of possible outcomes (combinations of horses) and your chances of winning.
Box - You win if your selected horses finish in any order. Exactas, Trifectas and Superfectas can be boxed.
Wheel - Combines one horse with all other horses in the race (Example: “Exacta Wheel” 7 wins and the remaining horses can finish second. Each combination costs an additional $2).
Partial Wheel - Combines one horse with only some of the other horses in the race
